Specialty/Interests:Extension responsibilities include economic education workshops, training sessions, short courses, and presentations for audiences that comprise primary and secondary school teachers, extension 4-H agents, volunteer 4-H leaders, youths, and business persons.In the American Agricultural Economics Association, Bob chairs the Economic Education Committee and is a key leader in promoting economic literacy efforts. He has chaired the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Honors Committee and is current chair of the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics Curriculum and Marketing/Development Committees. He is a member of the National FFA Farm Business Management Career Development Event Committee and develops the North Carolina FFA Farm Business Management and Agricultural Sales Career Development Events. At present, he is writing chapters on marketing and entrepreneurship to be included in a new high school textbook titled Agribusiness.
